Play with Clay - Hanging Plaque

Come to Dixie Dot Crafts for this new 'Play with Clay' series. 

Come along and learn the basics of using clay to create your own design. 

After learning some hints and tips and 'how it works' you will be given a practice slab of clay to have a go first, before then rolling your fresh clay and shaping as desired. You can get creative with all of our stamps including alphabet stamps for you to imprint your chosen word. It doesn't have to be a name, you could choose 'love' or 'family' for example. 

Once finished  we will leave the clay to dry thoroughly for a few weeks before it's fired in the kiln. 

At this point it becomes bisqueware and is ready for painting. 

You will then be given a code to book in for free to paint your plaque at a time you choose. 

The item is then left to dry and is glazed and fired like any other piece in the studio. It will be ready for collection approximately a week later. 

All tools, tuition and refreshments are included in the price which also covers BOTH sessions. You do not have to pay twice. 

If you are unable to attend a second session you are able to buy a paint at home kit for £5 and take your bisqueware away to do in your own time, returning for firing when it's finished.
